{"id":1252,"date":"2011-05-09T14:55:06","date_gmt":"2011-05-09T19:55:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/enduranceintrospection.com\/wp\/?p=1252"},"modified":"2013-11-16T14:55:49","modified_gmt":"2013-11-16T19:55:49","slug":"the-first-thing-to-go","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/enduranceintrospection.com\/wp\/the-first-thing-to-go\/","title":{"rendered":"The first thing to go \u2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>When I looked in the direction of the heavens in late December, when we found our Dodge truck on a sales lot, and told the powers-that-be that I needed more consulting\u00a0work, I had no idea how quickly and in what volume that prayer would be answered.<\/p>\n<p>Old clients, new clients and one BIG new client means that squeezing in riding has been a challenge.\u00a0 Never mind housework.\u00a0 Forget relaxation like reading or writing or watching reality TV of questionable taste.<\/p>\n<p>Around the same time, I agreed to pick up chairing of the AERC Ride Managers\u2019 Committee, which means, at a minimum, a monthly column for Endurance News.\u00a0 These between new rules and discussions and any ride manager drama.\u00a0 I\u2019ve managed to fly under the radar screen on drama and did manage to get my first article submitted.\u00a0 On time.\u00a0 Just barely.<\/p>\n<p>So you\u2019ll pardon the lack of blogging, I hope.<\/p>\n<p>The boys are well, fit and ready for the Bare Bones 50 in Vermont this coming Sunday.\u00a0 Rachel is riding Ned and we will have to figure out how to either keep up with Rich and Sarge, or send them on their way and lag behind.<\/p>\n<p>First ride of the season, way late for us, but such is life.<\/p>\n<p>First 100 next month, we hope.<\/p>\n<p>Life is good, just too busy to write about recently!<\/p>\n<p>\u2013Patti<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When I looked in the direction of the heavens in late December, when we found our Dodge truck on a sales lot, and told the powers-that-be that I needed more consulting\u00a0work, I had no idea how quickly and in what volume that prayer would be answered.
